Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from the new Editorial Team. We take this opportunity to thank our devoted readers, highly innovative and talented authors, expert reviewers, and distinguished editorial board members for being a part of this journal.
This issue contains articles with huge relevance to the field practice of Aerospace Medicine. The article on the role of one of the Indian Air Force’s frontline transport aircraft in medical evacuation is one such example. Another article presents the data from a regional commercial airline on the use of on-board First Aid Kits. India’s experience in Astronaut (Gaganaut) selection needs to be shared with our fraternity. Hence, two Short Communications have been included in this issue that present a roadmap to water survival training and a Flight Surgeon’s perspective on the post-flight rehabilitation of an astronaut after a long-duration mission in space. A brief review of a book titled “Diary of an apprentice astronaut” has also been published in the issue.
You would be pleased to know that the Journal continues its mission at the forefront of Aerospace Medicine through its high-impact peer-reviewed articles that are innovative in nature and transformative in focus in this rapidly changing field and strive to report the most recent advances.
We wish all of you season’s greetings and a year full of discoveries and exciting innovations.
