The winter issue of the Indian Journal of Aerospace Medicine is in your hands. It has been an introspective journey selecting and refining the articles that are being published in this issue. The articles are a judicious mix of original research, review articles and case reports with the focus on Aerospace Medicine.
Publishing the only national journal of Aerospace Medicine, a speciality with important contributions from other specialities notably Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oto¬rhino-laryngology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Physiology, Pathology, Radiology and Applied Physics, is a challenging job and requires the editorial team to do a balancing act. It has been the effort of my predecessors to encourage all sub-specialities, but to always maintain the focus on Aerospace Medicine. This is what we have endeavoured in the current issue as well. The book reviews, journal scan and Society News have been an integral part of the journal and have been retained.
The journal issues have received and benefitted from inputs/ critique from readers in the past. We again solicit articles for publishing, comments on the current issue and suggestions for improvements in the contents/ format that may well take it to the zenith of its existential journey.
