Aviation Medicine endeavors to discover and prevent various adverse physiological responses to hostile stresses encountered in the Aerospace Environment. Problems range from life support measures for astronauts to recognizing an ear block in an infant traveling on an airliner. Aeromedical certification of pilots, aircrew and patients is also part of Aviation Medicine.

This edition presents original researches in the field of aviation psychology pertaining to trait emotional intelligence in Indian Military pilots. The flight screening of aircrew candidates has always been an issue since the advent of military flying; a comparative study is presented in this edition. Articles on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy include a case study and a review article which is very relevant in view of lack of consensus on the investigations required for safe administration of HBOT. An article on normobaric hypoxia presents a newer perspective in training of aircrew for hypoxia in field.
